Peacebeam was founded in 2016 by Jane Murray with the intention of getting people back in touch with their innate nature of kindness and empathy. A lawyer and venture capitalist for 20 years by day, philosophy student and teacher by night, Jane started Peacebeam because she saw that despite the growing popularity of mindfulness, meditation and other wisdom practices, the day to day interactions with modern life can still leave us feeling stressed, anxious and disconnected from each other.
Peacebeam has always been about rebuilding connection in a digitised world. We are immensely proud that we have maintained this philosophy in our implementation. Our founding team has grown Peacebeam remotely and digitally from the very beginning. We are comprised of individuals located all over the world. Some of us are yet to meet! Our backgrounds, ages and cultures are incredibly diverse and yet we are able to come together remotely and work in harmony. On a small scale we are leading the way of being the change we wish to see in the world and, without blowing our own trumpet, well, we think that’s pretty darn cool.
We know that most of us can feel peaceful if we have a quiet moment to ourselves, but its much harder to feel that way if we are being squashed in the tube, have had a row with a loved one or are dealing with a difficult situation at work. At Peacebeam we believe that in these moments of chronic stress we need our kindness and empathy the most, but that it’s also in these moments that they are hardest to access.
Peacebeams are short audios designed to get you out of your headspace and into your heartspace, so you are left feeling happy, calm, connected and full of kindness for yourself and the world around you. They can be listened to wherever you are, at any time of day or night. Think of them as a source of peace just sitting there in your pocket!
Have a listen today and BEAM the change YOU want to see in the world.
